January 2017: New EA uniTFT050 display with video input.
MMS Electronics has available the new EA uniTFT050 display. This new 800x480 pixel, 24bit, TFT display was introduced at Electronica 2016. The display uses object programming in combination with the uniSKETCH development software. Objects can be placed, moved, rotated and deleted at any time. Font sets are stored directly in the display including Chinese characters. Powerful commands for elegant effects such as fading in and out, flying in, loss free rotation are integrated. Images can be embedded and MP3 sound files played. 7 Interfaces to the outside world: USB, 2 x SPI, 2 x RS-232 and 2 x I²C bus. These can be declared as masters to control external devices directly from the uniTFT050. Additionally the uniTFT050 is packed with 4 analogue inputs, 1 x PWM output and 16 digital I/O (expandable up to 125) to take on a wide range of control tasks. Even an analogue video input for a 3.3V camera (PAL, SeCAM or NTSC format) is included.
Display is available without touch or with a PCAP or resistive touch-screen.

September 2016: New snap IN bezel for 2x16 display
MMS Electronics provides a large selection of stylish bezels. We supply the EA 017 and EA 07 series front window bezels for most dot-matrix displays sizes. Bezels BDOGMTXT fits the EA DOGM081, EA DOGM162, EA DOGM163 and EA DOGM132 displays. For the EA intelligent displays we supply a black metal front panel mount bezels. The addition to our bezels is the MS B162_63x15. This snapIn bezel has a 63x15mm clear window that fits most 2x16 displays. Read more
April 2016: New 3.3V 4x10 display with DOUBLE HEIGHT characters
MMS Electronics Ltd has available an exceptionally versatile line of DOG alphanumeric and graphic displays. The smallest display is the new 4x10 (line x char) EA DOGS104-A, high-contrast easy-to-read STN and FSTN display. The module size is only 36x27 with a viewing area 33x12mm.
With double height character option the display transforms into a 2x10 or 3x10 display. The DOG (Display-On-Glass) is also referred to as COG (Chip-On-Glass) where the control circuit mounts directly on the display glass. This technology is very reliable and reduces overall product cost.
The integrated SSD1803A controller offers 3/4-wire SPI and 2-wire I²C interfaces. Selection of 3 fonts: Cyrillic, English-Japanese and European. Supply voltage is +3.3V without the need for a negative voltage. A typical current of only 440µA (with LED backlight off) makes it ideal for battery powered, hand-held applications. Read more

June 2015: New Worlds most energy efficient digital temperature sensor
MMS Electronics has available a new range of digital temperature sensors from Smartec BV. The SMT172 is an ultra-low power, fully calibrated, high accuracy digital sensor. Using the most recent advances in silicon temperature sensing technology, the SMT172 has applied sophisticated IC design techniques and high-precision calibration methods, to achieve an absolute inaccuracy of less than 0.25ºC in the range of -10 ºC to 100 ºC. Full temperature range is -45ºC to 130ºC. The sensor operates with a supply voltage from 2.7 to 5.5V. With a typical active current of only 60uA, high speed conversion over 4000 outputs per second (at room temperature) and extremely low noise, makes this the most energy efficient temperature sensor in the world. The SMT172 has a pulse width modulated output signal, where the duty cycle is proportional to the measured temperature. The sensor can connect directly to a Micro-processor without an Analog-to-Digital Converter. The SMT172 replaces the SMT160-30. Read more
May 2015: New Arduino display shields for the DOG displays
Unpopulated Arduino shield for the popular EA DOG displays are now available. The support documentation includes circuit diagrams, EAGLE PCB layouts, component placements, initiation sequences and sample programs for operating the display on an Arduino Uno. Three different size shields are available. There is a display shield for the EA DOGM081-A (1x8), EA DOGM162-A (2x16) and EA DOGM163-A (3x16) with ST7036 controller. The 2nd shield is for EA DOGM132-A (132x32), EA DOGM128-6 and EA DOGL128-6 (128x64) graphic displays with ST7565R controller. The 3rd shield is for the EA DOGS102-6 (102x64) graphic display with UC1701 controller.
April 2015: New 7.0" Intelligent TFT display with capacitive touch-screen (PCAP)
The capacitive touch-screen is now available for both the EA eDIPTFT43-ATC 4.3" TFT and the EA eDIPTFT70-ATC 7.0" intelligent graphic display. The display can be supplied with the traditional resistive touch-screen or a capacitive touch panel. The capacitive touch-screen version shows a brighter pictures with high contrast. March 2015: New 4.3" Intelligent TFT display with capacitive touch-screen / even works with gloves.
The intelligent EA eDIPTFT43-A TFT graphic display with capacitive touch panel and elegant black surround can be used with or without gloves. . The display with 6H surface hardness is absolutely scratch-proof and is designed for day-to-day use in harsh industrial environments. Multi-touch is detected but does not result in operating errors. The EA eDIPTFT43-A has a diagonal screen size of 4.3 inch (10.9 cm) with resolution of 480 x 272 pixels and a 16-bit color depth supports up to 65,536 colors. LED backlighting ensures bright, high-contrast images.
The display can be used in horizontal (480x272) or vertical view (272x480). The orientation is software selectable. Simple commands offer an abundance of clever graphics functions for displaying bargraphs, frames, switches, analogue rotary and pointer instruments. Eight predefined fonts are provided and other TrueType fonts can be imported. The onboard 4MB memory stores images, animations and macros. Text can be mixed with graphics, pictures and gif animations. The display features 8 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs and 2 analogue inputs. Interface is serial, SPI or I2C. Oct 2014: New Pyrometer product line
MMS Electronics Ltd is distributing a new product range from Accurate Sensor Technologies. AST is one of the world’s leading companies in non-contact temperature measurements using infra-red sensors. Product range includes single wavelength pyrometers A250, economic pyrometers E250/E450, two colour (Dual wavelength) pyrometers 450C, multi wavelength special pyrometers (AB3000/P3000), fibre optic pyrometers for high ambient temperature or electromagnetic fields A250FOPL/A450FOPL, special pyrometers for the glass industry E450G-2/AL514 and pyrometers for non-metallic surfaces like wood, plastic, paper AL30/AL390, Pyrometer for OEM applications (T2-250/450 and TL8). Oct 2014: Smart TFT diplays with touch-screen and I2C, Serial interface
MMS Electronics has available smart high resolution TFT graphic displays with analogue touch-screen and fast ARM processor. Android, Linux and Windows CE operating systems are supported. Available in various display sizes: 3.5” (QVGA), 4.3” (HVGA), 7.0” (WVGA), 8.0” (SVGA) and 10” (WSVGA). The Android operating system enables designers to use a large set of open source tools, application, images and icons. When using Android OS the application software can be built with Java using the free Eclipse IDE or other software that supports the Android OS. Communication and interface to external hardware or sensors are easy connected via the RS-232, RS-485, USB or I2C interface. The built-in MPEG video decoder is responsible for sharp images and flawless video playback. Also line IN, MIC, speaker and SD card connector are supported. Sept 2014: New 3.3V 240x128 Graphic display with SPI and I²C interface
MMS Electronics Ltd has available an exceptionally versatile line of alphanumeric and graphic displays for use in industrial and commercial applications. The latest addition to the popular DOG display family is the new 240x128 pixel EA DOGXL240-7. The module size is 94x67 mm with view area of 90x47 mm 3.9”. A display this size can show easily 6x40 (lines x characters) or 8x20 (lines x large characters).The EA DOGXL240-7 has a low current consumption of 900 µA (without use of the LED backlight) the display could be battery powered making it ideal for handheld applications. Displays with white background FSTN technology are readable without backlight. Four display technologies (STN and FSTN) and three different LED backlights (White, amber and a dual green/red) are available. The dual backlight option is ideal for applications where a green (normal) or red (warning) status indication is required. This display and the backlight combination offers up to eight designs to choose from. The DOG-simulator software is available for download and to experiment with all possible combinations on your desktop. These display are optimised for 3V operation and can be supplied with a touch-screen. New models are EA DOGM204 (20 x 4 line), EA DOGM240-6 240x64 pixel (94mm x 40mm) and EA DOGXL240-6 240x128 pixel (94 x 63mm). Also on show is the full range of our easy to use EA eDIP intelligent displays with optional touch-screen and a range of Android high-resolution TFT graphic displays with serial and I2C interface. From the Excelera sensor products we are showing high-resolution frequency to digital transducers UFDC/USTI with I2C, SPI and serial interface. Apr 2014: New ePaper display serie
MMS Electronics has available a 2.0” ePAPER display 172x72 pixel with SPI interface. The ePAPER display offers high contrast, wide viewing angle and zero power readable. The ePA20-A is only 1.18mm thick. The display includes the SSD1601 controller with SPI interface. Single 3V supply voltage is only required while writing to the display. When power is removed the display is still readable. The EA ePA20-A display is available from MMS-e stock. To quickly evaluate the EA ePAPER technology there is an intelligent eLABEL version with SPI, I2C and serial interface available. The EA eLABEL20-A includes 8 built-in fonts, rotation 172x72 or 72x172 under software control, on-board EEROM to store up to 256 macro programs and bitmaps. The EA eLABEL20 has a coin cell to rewrite the display and then return to zero down mode while still displaying the screen content. MMS Electronics Ltd has available a new 240x64 pixel high contrast, easy to read super-twist graphic display. The EA DOGM240-6 is 94mm long x 40 mm outline and view area is 90x24 mm. This display is ideal for use in 19” racks with 1RU or more. Operating from a single supply +2.7V to +3.3V without the need for a negative voltage. Onboard UC1611s controller with SPI and I²C Interface. Display, backlights and touch-screen can be ordered separately. Four STN and FSTN displays and 3 different LED backlight colours. : MMS Electronics has a new 3.3V 20x4 high-contrast alphanumeric LCD display from the display manufacturer Electronic Assembly Gmbh. The EA DIP203-4 is available in black-on-yellow/green EA DIP203G-4NLED, white-on-blue EA DIP203B-4NLW and black-on-white background EA DIP203J-4NLW. The EA DIP203J-4NLW is outdoor or sunlight readable. The built-in automatic temperature compensation eliminates the need for contrast re-adjustment. The LCD controller used SSD1803 is 90% HD44780 compatible and has built-in character set of 240 characters, letters and symbols. Interface is 4 / 8 bit or high speed SPI. Single 3.3V / 1.5mA operation. Current when using backlight with white LED backlight is max. 45mA and 150mA for the yellow/green backlight. With a temperature range of –20 to +70º C the display is suitable for industrial applications. The EA DIP203B-4NLW replaces the EA DIP204B-4NLW.

New white character on black background OLED displays. The displays offer an extreme high contrast ratio of 2000:1 combined with an amazing readability from all angles. Not only are these displays aesthetically pleasing but they also offer many other advantages: very wide operating temperature -40°C to +80°C without any loss of contrast, extremely fast response time of 10 microseconds even at subzero temperatures, no LED backlight resulting in a slimline display. The integrated display controller is based on the HD44780 controller. Three character sets – European, Cyrillic and Japanese are included. A 16x2 (EA W162-X3LW) with 5.5mm characters and 16x2 (EA W162-XBLW) with large 8.9mm characters are now available. June 2012: MMS-e has available USTI-EXT a 2 channel high precision multifunction frequency-time converter and transducer for analogue resistive and capacitive measurements. The USTI-EXT has extended temperature range -55 °C to + 150 °C. This means the USTI-EXT can be used directly in or near gearboxes, transfer cases, engines, turbochargers and exhaust systems. The ICs can be used for various quasi-digital vehicle's sensors such as wheel speed sensor, vehicle speed sensor, turbine speed sensors, pressure sensors, fuel level sensors, mass air flow sensor, torque sensor, etc. Applications include automotive, avionics, space and military. May 2012: Available from MMS Electronics Ltd (MMS-e) is a simple remote control terminal MTWCT22 with email and SMS functions for control and maintenance solutions. The controller can sense signal changes on the inputs and react by controlling outputs, sending alarm text messages (SMS) and emails (SMTP). At any time the I/O conditions can be accessed via SMS or email. The module has 4 digital and 2 analogue inputs. The analogue inputs can be configured for voltage (0-10V) or current (4-20mA) mode. The inputs can be used for monitoring of external devices or connecting sensors analogue and digital. The 4 high current changeover relay outputs can also be controlled via SMS. Technology Assistance BCNA 2010 S.L. based in Barcelona. New products introduced
are a series of Universal Sensors and Transducers interfaces (USTI) and
Universal Frequency-to-Digital Converters (UFDC-1) with serial, RS232, SPI and
I2C interface. The UFDC-1 can be used for any frequency, period, duty-cycle, pulse-modulated, time interval, phase-shift and pulse number, rpm measurement. The USTI Transducers are suitable for any physical, chemical, electrical
or non-electrical sensors. In addition, the IC can be used for direct
interfacing and accurate measurement of capacitive, resistive and resistive

eDIP128W-6LW. These small intelligent displays have built-in graphic power

companion. The smaller EA eDIPTFT32-A (3,2") colour TFT intelligent display is
introduced. The display has 8 pre-loaded fonts and 256
additional fonts (maximum) can be imported and stored in the onboard flash memory. Fonts
can be rotated in 90-degree steps and positioned pixel accurate. The 4 MB
onboard flash is also used to store images, animations and macros. Display has

2010: Ami18 Board,
Ami18 LCD Shield, Ami18 Graphic and Ami18 Proto
from Picshop are now available and stocked by MMS Electronics
ltd. This multifunction development system is inspired by the popular
Arduino board, however, our Ami18 board uses a
Microchip PIC ® micro controller. The Ami18 is
powered by a fast 64Mhz PIC18F25K20 processor.
Ami18 has 25 Input
/ Outputs, 13 analog inputs, mini USB interface, ICSP header,
expansion boards and a standard programming language.
The Ami18 board is Arduino™ and Amicus18™ compatible. The
LCD Shield use our 1x8 EA DOGM081, 2x16 EA DOGM162 or
3x16 EA DOGM163
displays. The LCD shield includes 4 switches, real time
clock and battery backup. This board will make an excellent
companion for anyone developing code with the DOG
displays. The Ami18 LCD can also be used with Arduino.
2010: EA BDOGMTXT This bezel has been
specially designed for the EA DOGM081, EA DOGM162, EA DOGM163
and EA DOGM132 displays. Anti glare clear window with 5mm
printed black border. High scratch resistant. 3M tape on rear
for fixing to enclosure.
The EA DOGS102-6 (39
x 40mm) our most compact graphic display with optional
analogue touch panel. All touch areas are defined by software.
For a typical touch area of 10x10mm up to 8 touch keys can be
identified. The small outline of this display allows assembly
into a 19" rack with 1 RU or even wall-mounted electrical
switch plates. It could become a simple display, switch or
control unit. With 102x64 dots there is enough space for
multi-line text and graphics. The display is available with
white and amber color, as well as a duo colored version in
green and red. Controller is UC1701 with serial SPI interface.
Power supply is single 2.7 ~ 3.3V. The current consumption
stays below 150uA.
New 2010: The EA DOGXL160-7
(78 x 61mm) our largest
DOG graphic display with SPI and I2C interface. Optional analogue
touch panel. All touch areas are defined by software. With
160x104 dots there is enough space for 13 lines of small text or 6
lines of large text and large graphics. The display is
available with white, green, blue, red, amber and full RGB
backlight. Controller is UC1601 with SPI and I2C interface. Power
supply is single 2.7 ~ 3.3V. The current consumption 700uA and 10 to
150mA with backlight on.
2010: EA USB STICK-FONT
This memory stick comes with various character sets specially
made for the DOG display series. The import function allows
import of Windows fonts. With the FontEditor it is easy
to generate for example Cyrillic, Greek and Arabic fonts. The
preview function shows immediately the size and style in the
simulation window. When the test board EA 9780-2USB is
connected to the USB port, you can see the character or text
on the DOG display.
The export function generates a C- and Basic source code
include file for your software.
2010: Smartec SMTAS02IICUSB This

May 2008 Infrared temperature interface board with USB and RS232
Electronics Ltd (MMS-e) has made available the new developed
Smartec infra-red thermopile non contact temperature interface.
The use of this new interface board will significantly reduce
development time for contact less temperature measurements. This
infrared sensor provides accurate non-contact temperature
measurement. The sensor has micro- to milli volt level output
signals for the internal thermopile (IR) and includes the on chip
temperature Ni1000 resistor to measure the sensor housing

October 2007 +3V slim DOG graphic display with SPI interface
Electronics Ltd (MMS-e) has added the new EA Graphic display
DOGM128 with SPI interface to the already successful DOG character
displays. The DOG displays and optional backlights are specially
designed for low power applications and operate from a single +3V
supply at 150uA or 3mA with white backlight at full brightness. This
system allows displays to be quickly personalised by the combination
of various display technologies (positive/negative, blue, green,
black) with the 6 different backlights (white, blue, amber,
yellow/green, red and RGB). Assembly is easy, simply clip the
display and the backlight together and solder directly into the PCB
or socket. The DOGM128 graphic display has a resolution of 128x64
pixel with outline dimension of 55x46mm. Thanks to the chip-on-glass
technology (STN and FSTN) the overall height is only 2mm and with
the LED backlight the height is still only 5.8mm. Connection is

look. . The same 128x64pixel display can now be selected in
blue-white, black&white, amber and pure green. The outline dimensions
of the EA DIP128J-6N5LG is only 75 x 45.8 x 10.8mm. Readability under direct sunlight is
fine because of the transflective background. The standard
specification offers a temperature range of -20 up to +70°C.
Contrast adjustment is only required once due to the integrated temperature
compensation. Voltage supply is single 5V or 3.3V. Optional
3x5 key touch-screen is available.

adds EA Orange/Amber display range
has now a full range of orange / amber colored displays to
offer. The new
orange / amber LCD displays provide excellent brightness and are
readable under all lighting conditions - even in direct sun light.
Expected backlight life time for these amber displays is a minimum of 100,000
hours even at enhanced ambient temperature of
+70°C. Amber displays are available from MMS Electronics in
the dot-matrix and graphic series. Dot-matrix part numbers: EA DOGM081 1x8,

launches EA DIP180B-5NLW for PC bays or 1U racks
has added a new addition to the compact DIP displays from Electronic
Assembly Gmbh. The
blue STN module is 102 x 27 x 11 mm making it perfect for use into an
open 3½’’ drive bay of a PC, dedicated server or 1U high rack
appliance. The EA DIP180B-5NLW has a resolution of 180 x 32 pixels with
an active viewing area of 88 x 19 mm. A
standard SED1520/PT6520 controller, internal temperature compensation
and LED backlight are built-in. Operating temperature of –20 to 70º C
are standard. Replacing the usual trough-hole connector and PCB of
standard displays with a ready assembled header has created the optimum
use of space for these displays. Other
sizes available in the compact DIP series are 1x8, 2x8, 2x16, 4x20

August 2004 Graphic Touch Screen Power Display

The latest addition to the smart graphic display series is the colour KIT320F-8CTP ¼ VGA touch screen. The graphic kit is a fully
assembled control and operating unit with a variety of integrated functions. Simple graphic commands similar to those in a high level programming
language are used to control the display. The control software comes with lots of graphics routines and a wide variety of fonts. This means there is
no longer any need for time consuming programming of character sets and graphics routines.
Non Volatile memory is available to store the program macro's.
Once the macro's are loaded the display can animate the screens, take action on touch and control the 8 digital inputs and outputs, all without any further
communication required over the RS232 or RS422 interface. Further options are 5 V or 9 to 35V supply, opto-isolated I/O, 2 analogue inputs, a port for direct
connection to a dot matrix LCD and a variety of bezels.

Smartec Silicon Pressure sensor
Smart Pressure Device. (SPD) A low cost silicon based pressure sensor family in DIP or surface mount
packages are available from MMS-e the UK distributors for Smartec sensors. The Smart Pressure Device SPD series are available in gauge and absolute
pressure types. The absolute version has a reference vacuum chamber on the die. The sensor's small package size of 7mm x 7mm x 3.5 for the surface mount
version and 12mm x 14mm for the six pin DIP version saves critical printed circuit board space. The sensors are designed especially for pressure
measurement in the range of 0 to 6 Bar. Full-scale sensors within this range are available starting from 0 to 0.35 Bar. Typical applications are medical,
