Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) form the backbone of modern industrial manufacturing. Driven by megatrends such as the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and networked infrastructures in addition to new innovative applications, the PLC is changing from a straightforward logic-based unit into a networked computing node. DISPLAY VISIONS is actively participating in this transformation and offering user-friendly modern HMI interfaces which replace the previous “black box” approach.
The new HMI product lines from DISPLAY VISIONS combine technical brilliance with economic efficiency. The focus is on features that are tailored to the exacting requirements of industrial environments:
- Outstanding visuals and ease of use: The new HMI modules feature state-of-the-art designs with hardwearing glass surfaces and capacitive touch technology (PCAP) for smartphone level control.

Brilliance in all conditions: With a brightness of approximately 1,000 cd/m², the HMI displays guarantee excellent readability, even in direct sunlight or poor lighting conditions.

Protocol: The modules support the Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU protocols as standard. Variants with RS-485, LAN and Wi-Fi. Ensuring seamless integration with almost all commercially available controllers.

Easy mounting: With the support of wall mounting and panel installation (panel mount), the devices can be integrated directly into machine housings and also used as decentralised operating units.

Screen sizes: Available in screen size 2.8”, 4.3”, 7.0”, 10.1 and 12".

Supply voltage: The HMIs operate on a standard DC power supply, ranging from 6 to 30 volts.
With the free HMI Designer software individual screen pages can be created – just by using the drag and drop function. When the screens are designed, simply link the Modbus registers to the display elements. This automatically displays the data in the correct place on the screen. All Modbus registers can be freely assigned to different objects on display such as numerical values, bar graphs, images, text information, etc.; 32-bit values can also be transferred for floating point calculations. Up to 256 Modbus registers are supported. We offer a comprehensive programming service to make it easy for customer to get started. This also enables customers who lack their own display expertise to create customised visualisations.

The Modbus HMI are available with Wi-Fi, LAN and RS-485 interface.
