MMS Electronics offers the DISPLAY VISIONS series of EA DOG energy-efficient chip-on-glass LCDs for industrial equipment, measuring systems and controls. The assortment of displays combines a compact design with an exceptionally low current consumption from just 150 µA. This makes the modules suitable for battery-powered devices, mobile measurement systems and energy-efficient controls. This also applies to displays and systems used in potentially explosive atmospheres. 

The very low power consumption of the EA DOG series can make a valuable contribution to the development of equipment used in potentially explosive environments which are required to comply with ATEX requirements. Typical areas of application include mining, the chemical industry and environments with explosive gas or dust atmospheres. 

The product range includes text displays from 1x8 to 4x20 characters as well as graphic displays with resolutions from 102x64 to 240x128 pixels. Developers can choose from 12 different display sizes from 1.7 to 3.9 inches and combine them with various backlights. The available options include white, blue, amber, yellow-green and RGB backlights. The displays can be optionally fitted with a touch panel. 

The modules have SPI and I²C interfaces and operated at 3.3 V DC. The chip-on-glass technology enables particularly flat and space-saving designs. But most important, the long-term availability of the EA DOG series ensures investment and planning security for products that have long life cycles.
