The Munich Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Upper Bavaria has congratulated Display Visions GmbH on 45 years in business and presented the Gilching-based company with a certificate.
The company was born as ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY but changed its name recently to DISPLAY VISIONS – a specialist in high-quality industrial displays. With this change of name, its core competence will be emphasised more clearly. DISPLAY VISIONS was praised for its innovative strength and exemplary development on the European market.

Designing a product with a colour TFT display and touch-screen does not have to be complex. To show how powerful and easy to use the new EA uniTFTs display series are various DEMOPACKs are available from MMS Electronics Ltd. The latest addition is the EA DEMOPACK-WiFiBT evaluation board with a 2.8” EA uniTFTs028-ATC smart display. The DEMOPACK-WiFiBT includes radio micro controller ESP32 to add WiFi and Bluetooth communication to the smart display. The project for the ESP32-WROOM-32 is fully documented and shows how to connect a Bluetooth keyboard to the display and another example using Wi-Fi shows how to retrieve weather information from https://openweathermap.org and display the weather forecast on the smart display. The familiar Arduino IDE is used to program the ESP32 processor.
The EA DEMOPACK-WiFiBT includes a 2.8" IPS TFT smart display with PCAP touch P/N: EA uniTFTs028-ATC.
The EA uniTFTs smart displays get projects off to a flying start. With integrated graphics controller, extensive graphics functions, USB, I²C, SPI and serial interfaces. The displays are ready to run without additional peripherals. The EA uniTFT(s) displays use improved IPS-Panels with AACS technology (All Angle Colour Stability). This means contrast and colours are retained even at extreme viewing angles. With high brightness typ. 1,000 cd/m² and above the displays are readable in direct sunlight. Optically bonded PCAP touch. The EA uniTFTs displays are available in size 2.0”, 2.8", 3.5" and 4.3".
All EA uniTFTs displays are programmed using the new uniTFTDesigner Windows software tool. The IDE boasts a simple drag-and-drop interface with simulator and numerous ready to run examples.

MMS Electronics Ltd has a series of high brightness IPS TFT displays available from Display Visions. These colour displays are the perfect replacement for monochrome displays. The displays are very impressive with the IPS (In-Plane-switching) technology, stable contrast and all-round viewing angles. Additionally most display have a maximum brightness of 1,000 cd/m² and can be viewed in direct sunlight. As a result, these screens are ideal for use in outdoor equipment and in medical instruments that require optimum visibility. The service life of the IPS TFT displays is 50,000 hours within the temperature range of -20°C to + 70°C. As well as the standard RGB connection (8-bit or 16-bit), some of the smaller displays have a 4-wire SPI interface and are compatible with standard microcontrollers. For SMD assembly MMS Electronics has the required ZIF connectors connectors available.
What is an IPS-TFT display? In-Plane switching is a technology that improves the viewing limitations of conventional TFT displays. In IPS TFT displays the light conducting liquid crystals are aligned parallel to the image plane. This means that colours and contrast remain brilliant and stable even when the viewing angle changes. These IPS TFT graphic displays have long term product availability and are highly recommended for use in new designs.
MMS Electronics has the IPS TFT displays available in the following sizes: 0.96", 2.0", 2.8", 3.5", 4.3", 5.0", 7.0" and 10.1". The displays are available without or with a capacitive, multi-gesture PCAP touch panel.

Angst+Pfister AG, based in Zürich, Switzerland, a leading supplier of mechanical and electronic components for industrial and medical OEM markets, announces the acquisition of the temperature and pressure sensor business of Smartec BV. After 35 years in sensor technology Smartec’s owner and CEO Rolf de Boer, decided to take his well-deserved retirement and sold the business to Angst+Pfister. Smartec BV successfully supplied MMS Electronics Ltd over the last 25 years with digital temperature sensors, humidity and pressure sensors. MMS Electronics is looking forward to working with Angst+Pfister AG and continuing the UK distribution of Smartec sensors products. The flagship sensor of Smartec is the SMT172 an ultra-low power, fully calibrated, high accuracy digital temperature sensor. Using the most recent advances in silicon temperature sensing the SMT172 has an absolute inaccuracy of less than 0.25ºC in the range of -10 ºC to 100 ºC with full temperature range of -45ºC to 130ºC.
